Policies & Procedures
Procedures
All students in grades 1-12 have an opportunity to select after school activities (ASA) each quarter. Every student who wants to participate must complete the online application by the due dates.Policies
All ASAs are a privilege. Unacceptable behavior towards any instructor or other students will not be tolerated. If there are continued behavioral issues, the student can be removed from the ASA at the discretion of the instructor and an administrator. Students cannot change their activity after the ASA begins. This may cause in a cancellation of an activity or for particular activities to become overcrowded. Some ASAs may require a fee, which will be noted on the choice list. DIS may cancel an activity due to an extreme situation. DIS will make every effort to cancel an ASA as early as possible in the week. If an activity has to be cancelled on the day it is to occur, the students will attend study hall until the end of the activity period or they can go home with parental permission. Students who are not in an after school activity should leave the DIS campus by 2:40PM.
