Middle and High Schoolers wrap up the school year at the Spring Fine Arts Festival

Middle and High Schoolers wrap up the school year at the Spring Fine Arts Festival

Middle and high school students commemorated the end of the school year with performances and exhibitions at the spring fine arts festival on May 28. The event opened with “The Bloom”, a runway show directed by National Art Honor Society (NAHS) students under the theme “After the Rain.”
Soon after, the stage welcomed a string orchestra performance, which performed “Concerto in D”, “Deadly Pursuit”, “Orchid Fantasy”, and “Today”. The ensemble then transitioned to the middle school bands, starting with 6th grade, “Into the Clouds!”, “Jaws”, and “Star Fantasy”. The seventh and eighth grade band followed suit as they played “Amparito Roca”, “Catina Band”, “To Create a Voice”, and “Wind & Sky from the Hometown”.
The evening ended with the high school concert band, which performed a selection of cinematic works including “Superman Returns”, “Jurassic Park Soundtrack Highlights”, and “Selections from Harry Potter”. Their performance reached its highlight with “Suite from Star Wars Epic”, which consisted of four musical pieces including “Star Wars(Main Title)”. Students, parents, and faculty alike celebrated the evening’s accomplishments as they marked the end of the school year.
