First day of school snaps

Students strolled through a vine-archway, eager to sneak a peak at campus renovations and upgrades. The 2024-2025 year started in the midst of record-high summer temperatures on Monday, August 12th. Kindergarteners made lifelong memories as they embarked on their DIS journey. Seniors donned custom varsity jackets to mark their last first day of school. DIS implemented several new modifications, such as electronic locks on doors and separated bathrooms for students and teachers. The dorm, Jetnasium, main building and ECC also received various touch-up work, as well as the futsal fields. A handful of new teachers joined the faculty. For student safety measures, the presentation hall and dance studio doors, formerly fully covered, were converted to contain large windows instead. With more stories to come this year, visit the Flyover in the future.
