Elementary students bring art and music to life at annual Spring Fine Arts Festival

Elementary students bring art and music to life at annual Spring Fine Arts Festival

Elementary students celebrated their achievements from the school year at the annual spring fine arts festival. The evening opened with the kindergartners’ performing “What a Wonderful World,” “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “The Rainbow Connection.” First graders followed with selections from “Mary Poppins,” which featured “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Step in Time” and a festive “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
Second graders delivered a lively set from “Mamma Mia,” which included “I Have a Dream,” “Mamma Mia,” “Thank You for the Music” and “Dancing Queen.” Third grade students explored “The Land of Oz” through selections from “Wicked” with “For Good,” “Dancing Through Life” and “Defying Gravity.” Meanwhile fourth graders presented an extensive selection from “Les Misérables,” featuring “At the End of the Day,” “I Dreamed a Dream,” “Castle on a Cloud,” “Do You Hear the People Sing?,” “Bring Him Home” and “One Day More.”
The fifth grade beginning band showcased highlights from “The Greatest Showman,” including “From Now On” and “The Greatest Show.” For the finale, the entire elementary student body came together to perform “Tomorrow” from “Annie” and “This Is Me” from “The Greatest Showman.” The poignant finale signaled the end of another school year as families and faculty applauded the young students’ artistic growth and creativity.
