Complete the online application form in English, providing details of the applicant’s educational and personal background. Be sure to attach all required supporting documents. Kindly note that we cannot begin processing the application until all necessary documents have been submitted through the online application system.

After the application is completed, an application fee of KRW 250,000 will be due. If applicants wish to reapply for the following year, an additional application fee of KRW 250,000 will be required. Please note that all application fees are non-refundable.

지원서 접수가 완료 되면, 전형료 250,000원을 납부합니다. 납부 정보는 지원서 및 구비 서류가 정상적으로 접수된 지원자를 대상으로 입학처에서 별도 안내드립니다. 전형료는 다음 학년도 전형에 재지원 시 재납부하셔야 하며, 납부된 전형료는 환불 불가합니다.

Once all documents are submitted and payment is finalized, applicants will be notified of their confirmed assessment date and time.

Our admissions process takes a holistic approach to select students who align with the values of DIS. The admissions assessments (applicable to Kindergarten through Grade 12) comprehensively evaluates the following areas:

• English Proficiency
• Academic Readiness
• Interaction and Collaboration Skills

All in-country applicants are required to take the admissions assessment on campus, applicants who live abroad will have the opportunity to take the admissions assessment online.

지원서, 구비 서류 제출 및 전형료 납부가 완료된 경우 입학처에서 확정된 입학시험 일정을 지원자에게 안내합니다.

본교는 입학 심사를 통해 본교의 가치와 인재상에 가장 부합하는 인재를 선발하고자 합니다. 입학 시험(유치원-12학년 공통)은 아래 항목을 종합적으로 평가합니다.

본교 입학시험은 대면 시험을 원칙으로 하며, 해외 거주자의 경우 온라인 입학시험을 제공합니다.

After evaluating each applicant's documents and qualification, the applicant's family will be notified of the final admission decision. Please note that the admissions office is unable to provide specific details regarding the rationale behind the decision.

지원자의 제출 서류 및 입학 시험 결과를 종합적으로 평가한 후, 최종 결과를 학부모 이메일로 개별 통보합니다. 본교 입학처는 입학시험 결과, 입학 후보자 순번 또는 선발 근거 등과 관련된 정보를 공개하지 않음을 안내 드립니다.

ACCEPTANCE 합격

If your child is accepted, you will receive a formal letter of acceptance, along with a tuition invoice.Tuition and other fees must be paid by the designated due date. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the forfeiture of the applicant’s enrollment offer.

합격 안내를 받은 지원자에게 최종 합격 통지서와 함께 수업료 및 기타 제반비용 안내문이 발송됩니다. 수업료 및 기타 제반비용은 지정된 기한 내에 납부해야 하며, 기한 내 미납 시 합격이 취소될 수 있습니다.

WAIT LIST 입학 후보자

There are limited spaces available each year. Korean nationals may not be eligible for immediate enrollment due to restrictions placed on DIS by the Daegu Department of Education. The top 15% of total applicants based on the results of the admissions assessment will be selected as candidates for admission. If there is a vacancy during the school year, we will contact the parents regarding admission. Please note that applicants on the waiting list DO NOT carry over to the following school year.

본교는 관련법에 의거하여 선발 가능한 한국 국적 학생의 정원이 한정되어 있습니다. 이에 입학시험 결과를 기준으로 최초 합격자를 제외한 전체 지원자 중 전 학년 통합 상위 15% 내외(적용비율 변동 가능) 지원자는 입학 후보자로 선정됩니다. 추후 학기 중 한국인 결원이 발생할 경우, 충원 대상자로 선정된 지원자에게 개별 안내를 드립니다. 입학 후보자 명단은 지원 당해 학년도 내에만 유효하며, 희망 시 다음 학년도 전형에 재지원 할 수 있습니다.

(예: 2025-2026 학년도 입학 후보자 명단은 2026-2027 학년도에는 유효하지 않으므로, 희망 시 다음 학년도 전형에 재지원해야 합니다.)

NO-OFFER 불합격

Although most applicants are extremely qualified for acceptance, due to the limited number of openings throughout the school year, DIS is not able to place all candidates on the waitlist. Students may be denied admission based on following factors: academic and/or behavioral record and/or their English language proficiency do not meet the academic or behavior requirements for the grade to which they are applying. No-offered applicants may re-apply for the following admissions year.

지원자의 역량과 입학시험 결과 모두 우수하였으나 한정된 선발 인원과 입학 후보자 수용인원을 고려하여 부득이하게 다수의 지원자에게 불합격 안내를 드립니다. 또한, 지원자의 학업 기록, 태도와 품행, 영어 사용 능력이 해당 학년의 요구 사항을 충족하지 못한 경우에도 불합격 안내를 받게 됩니다. 희망 시 다음 학년도 전형에 재지원할 수 있습니다.

The applying grade must follow the criteria outlined below, which depend on the applicant's current school or institution, and cannot be determined by the parents' preference.

지원 학년은 지원자가 재학 중인 학교/기관에 따라 아래 명시된 학년 기준을 따라야하며, 임의로 선택 지원할 수 없습니다.

Korean Schools ▶ DIS

Students who have not fully completed their current school year will enter DIS at that current grade level. For some students, this may mean repeating a portion of their current grade level.
국내 공·사립 학교에 재학 중인 경우 3월 신학기 기준 진학 학년과 동일한 학년으로 본교 신학기 8월에 입학합니다.

International/US Schools ▶ DIS

Students applying from international or U.S. schools that follow the US school calendar (August-June) will enter DIS at their current grade.
미국 학제(8/9월 시작, 5/6월 종료)를 따르는 학교에서 본교로 입학하는 경우 학년이 연계됩니다.

Kindergarten

Students who have not been enrolled in a school prior to entering DIS will enter the grade appropriate for them based on the Grade/Age Eligibility Guidelines.

DIS accepts applications from all individuals, regardless of overseas residency or nationality. Applicants may apply to only one of the three admission categories, as multiple applications are not permitted.

본교는 해외 체류 기간 및 국적에 관계없이 누구나 지원할 수 있습니다. 지원자는 세 가지 입학 전형 중 본인에게 해당하는 1가지 전형에 지원할 수 있으며, 중복 지원은 허용되지 않습니다.

1. Foreign Applicants (외국인 전형): 60%

DIS accepts non-Korean citizens on a rolling basis. To apply, please submit a copy of your current Alien Registration Card, along with the passports of both parents, as part of the completed online application. Dual citizens who hold Korean nationality are considered Korean students at DIS, in accordance with the Nationality Law.

외국 국적 학생은 연중 상시 모집하고 있습니다. 본 전형 지원 시 부모와 지원자의 외국인등록증 및 여권 사본을 필수로 제출해야 합니다. 대한민국 국적법에 따라 한국 국적을 보유한 복수국적자는 내국인으로 처우되며 내국인 전형으로 지원해야 합니다.

2. Korean Applicants (내국인 전형): 30%DIS holds an annual admissions window for Korean national applicants. Korean students are admitted based on available vacancies, and the admissions window for second-semester entry has been discontinued as of January 2024. If a vacancy for a Korean student arises during the school year, DIS will select an applicant from the waitlist.

한국 국적 학생은 매년 1회 정시 전형(8월 입학)을 통해 선발합니다. 학기 중 지원은 불가하며, 2024년 1월 부로 2학기 입학 전형인 수시 전형이 폐지되었습니다. 학기 중 내국인 결원이 발생할 경우, 전형을 완료한 입학 후보자를 대상으로 추가 선발이 진행됩니다.

3. Additional 10% Korean (내국인 협약 전형): 10%

Under the agreement with the Daegu City Hall and the Daegu Department of Education, DIS can accept an additional 10% (Korean students) of our school’s total capacity. Please refer to the table below for the qualification or contact Daegu City Hall (053-803-4414).

본교는 대구광역시 외국교육기관 내국인 학생 추가 입학 비율에 관한 규칙(대구광역시 교육규칙 제652호, 2014.01.01 공포)에 따라 총 68명까지 선발이 가능합니다. 자격 조건은 아래 정보를 참고하시거나 대구광역시청 국제통상과(053-803-4414)로 문의해 주시기 바랍니다.
