All materials must be submitted by the deadline to complete your application. Incomplete or late submissions may result in disqualification.

지원자는 온라인 지원 사이트를 통해 인적 사항, 학력 및 교육 관련 정보를 입력한 후, 모든 필수 구비서류를 온라인 지원서와 함께 제출해야 합니다. 

지원서 및 제출 서류는 정해진 제출 기한 내에 모두 완료되어야 정상 접수로 인정됩니다. 구비서류가 누락되거나 제출 기한을 경과한 경우, 서류 전형 단계에서 불합격 처리될 수 있으며 다음 전형 단계로 진행이 불가합니다.

Applicants who successfully complete their application and pass the document screening will receive instructions regarding the application fee.
The application fee is 250,000 KRW for all grade levels and covers the costs of application review, admissions testing, and evaluation. Please note that the application fee is non-refundable.

지원서 및 모든 제출 서류를 기한 내에 정상 접수하여 서류 전형을 통과한 지원자에게 전형료 납부 안내를 드립니다. 
전형료는 전 학년 공통 250,000원이며, 지원서 검토 및 입학시험 진행과 심사 과정에 소요되는 전체 비용을 포함합니다. 납부된 전형료는 환불이 불가합니다. 

Once the application form, required documents, and application fee have been successfully submitted, the Admissions Office will inform each applicant of their confirmed assessment schedule.

The admissions evaluation is conducted through a comprehensive review of each applicant’s academic performance, language proficiency, and social–emotional competencies.
All applicants from Kindergarten through Grade 12 are evaluated comprehensively through a multi-dimensional assessment approach based on the following criteria.

본교는 입학 심사 과정을 통해 본교의 교육 철학과 인재상에 부합하는 학생을 선발합니다.
유치원부터 12학년까지 모든 지원자는 아래 항목을 중심으로 다각적인 관점에서 종합 평가를 받습니다.

DIS does not administer the NWEA MAP Test as part of our admissions process. Instead, we use an internally developed admissions assessment rooted in cognitive science and current educational research to provide a clear picture of each applicant’s academic readiness. This assessment is systematically and comprehensively designed to ensure fair and consistent evaluation for all applicants.

본교는 입학 전형 과정에서 NWEA MAP 시험을 시행하지 않습니다. 최신 교육 연구 및 인지과학을 기반으로 자체 개발한 입학 평가를 활용하여 지원자의 학업 준비도를 보다 정확하게 평가합니다. 본 평가는 모든 지원자에게 공정하고 일관된 심사가 이루어지도록 체계적이고 종합적으로 설계되어 있습니다.

Online Assessment 온라인 입학시험

The admissions assessment is conducted in person. 
However, applicants residing overseas may be eligible to take the assessment online. In such cases, the same evaluation standards will apply, though some assessment methods may be adjusted to accommodate the online testing environment.

본교 입학시험은 대면 시험을 원칙으로 시행됩니다.
단, 해외 거주자에 한해 온라인 응시가 가능하며, 대면 시험과 동일한 기준을 적용하되 시험 환경에 따라 일부 평가 방식이 조정될 수 있습니다.

After a comprehensive review of each applicant’s documents and admissions assessment results, the final admission decision will be communicated directly to the applicant’s family via email.
Please note that the Admissions Office does not disclose individual admission decisions or related evaluation details.

지원자의 제출 서류 및 입학시험 결과를 종합적으로 평가한 후, 최종 결과는 발표일에 학부모님께 이메일로 개별 통보됩니다.
본교 입학처는 개인별 심사 결과 및 평가 세부 사항을 공개하지 않습니다. 

ACCEPTANCE · 합격

If your child is accepted, you will receive an official letter of acceptance along with a tuition and fee invoice.
All tuition and related fees must be paid within the designated enrollment contract period. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the admission offer.

합격 안내를 받은 경우, 최종 합격 통지서와 수업료 및 기타 제반비용 안내문을 발송해드립니다. 합격자 등록 기간 내에 수업료 및 기타 비용을 납부해야 하며, 기한 내 미납 시 합격이 취소될 수 있습니다.

WAITLIST · 입학 후보자Due to limited enrollment capacity each year, not all qualified applicants can be admitted immediately.
For Korean nationals, enrollment is further restricted by quotas established by the Daegu Department of Education. Based on the results of the admissions assessment, approximately the top 15% of non-admitted applicants across all grade levels (subject to change) will be placed on the waitlist as candidates for admission. If a vacancy becomes available during the school year, the Admissions Office will contact eligible waitlisted applicants individually.

본교는 관련 법령에 따라 선발 가능한 한국 국적 학생의 정원이 제한되어 있습니다. 이에 따라 입학시험 결과를 기준으로 최초 합격자를 제외한 전체 지원자 중 전 학년 통합 상위 약 15% 내외(적용 비율 변동 가능)의 지원자는 입학 후보자로 선정됩니다.
학기 중 한국인 결원이 발생할 경우, 입학 후보자 명단에 포함된 지원자에게 개별적으로 충원 안내를 드립니다.
입학 후보자 명단은 해당 학년도에만 유효하며, 희망 시 다음 학년도 전형에 재지원 할 수 있습니다. 

NO-OFFER · 불합격Although many applicants demonstrate strong qualifications for admission, DIS is unable to offer a waitlist position to all candidates due to the limited number of available openings each year. Additionally, admission may be denied if a student’s academic performance, behavior record, or English proficiency does not meet the requirements for the grade level to which they are applying.
Applicants who do not receive an offer of admission are welcome to reapply during the following admissions cycle.

지원자의 역량과 입학시험 결과 모두 우수하였으나 한정된 선발 인원과 입학 후보자 수용인원을 고려하여 부득이하게 다수의 지원자에게 불합격 안내를 드립니다. 또한, 지원자의 학업 기록, 태도와 품행, 영어 사용 능력이 해당 학년의 요구 사항을 충족하지 못한 경우에도 불합격 안내를 받게 됩니다. 희망 시 다음 학년도 전형에 재지원할 수 있습니다.

The grade level to which an applicant may apply must adhere to the criteria outlined below, based on the applicant’s current school or educational institution. Please note that grade placement cannot be determined by parental preference.

지원 학년은 지원자가 현재 재학 중인 학교 또는 교육기관을 기준으로 아래 명시된 학년 기준을 따라야 하며, 학부모 임의로 선택 지원이 불가합니다.

Grades 2-12

Korean Schools ▶ DIS

For students enrolled in Korean public or private schools, admission to DIS in August will correspond to the same grade level they would enter in the Korean academic year beginning in March.

국내 공·사립 학교 재학생의 경우, 3월 신학기 기준 진학 학년과 동일한 학년으로 본교 8월 신학기에 입학하게 됩니다.
(예: 3월 신학기에 2학년에 진학하는 경우 →  8월 신학기에 본교 2학년으로 입학)

International/U.S. Schools ▶ DIS

Students applying from international or U.S. schools that follow the U.S. academic calendar (August–June) will enter DIS at the same grade level they are currently attending. If applying the following school year, the student may apply for the next grade level.
(e.g. A student in Grade 2 this year → May apply for Grade 3 at DIS the following year)

미국 학제(8-9월 시작, 5-6월 종료)를 따르는 해외 또는 국제학교에서 지원하는 경우, 현재 재학 중인 학년으로 본교에 입학하게 됩니다 (외국인 한정).
또는 다음 학년도에 지원할 경우, 그 다음 학년으로 연계하여 입학할 수 있습니다.
(예: 현재 학년도 미국 학교 2학년 재학 → 다음 학년도 본교 3학년 입학)
 

DIS accepts applications from all individuals, regardless of nationality or duration of overseas residency. Applicants must apply under one of the three admissions categories that best corresponds to their status. Multiple applications are not permitted.

본교는 국적 및 해외 체류 기간과 관계없이 누구나 지원할 수 있습니다. 지원자는 세 가지 입학 전형 중 자신의 상황에 해당하는 한 가지 전형으로만 지원할 수 있으며, 중복 지원은 허용되지 않습니다.

1. Foreign Nationals (외국인 전형): 60%

DIS accepts applications from non-Korean citizens on a rolling basis. To apply, please submit a copy of the applicant’s current Alien Registration Card, along with the passports of both parents, as part of the online application.
In accordance with Korean Nationality Law, dual citizens who hold Korean nationality are considered Korean students and must apply under the Korean Admissions Category.

외국 국적 학생은 연중 상시 지원이 가능합니다. 본 전형으로 지원할 경우, 지원자 및 부모의 외국인등록증과 여권 사본을 온라인 지원서에 반드시 첨부해야 합니다. 또한, 대한민국 국적법에 따라 한국 국적을 보유한 복수국적자는 내국인으로 간주되며, 내국인 전형으로 지원해야 합니다.

2. Korean Nationals (내국인 전형): 30%

Korean nationals may enroll at DIS through one annual admissions cycle for the August start of the school year.
As of January 2024, the mid-year applications for transfer or late entry are no longer accepted. If a vacancy for a Korean student arises during the school year, DIS will make additional offers from the waitlist pool.

한국 국적 학생은 매년 1회 정시 전형을 통해 8월 신학기에 입학할 수 있습니다. 2024년 1월부로 수시 전형이 폐지되어, 학기 중에는 편입학/수시 모집을 진행하지 않습니다. 학기 중 내국인 결원이 발생할 경우, 입학 후보자 풀에서 충원이 이루어집니다.

3. Additional 10% Korean (내국인 협약 전형): 10%

Under the agreement with the Daegu City Hall and the Daegu Department of Education, DIS can accept an additional 10% (Korean students) of our school’s total capacity. Please refer to the table below for the qualification or contact Daegu City Hall (053-803-4414).

본교는 대구광역시 외국교육기관 내국인 학생 추가 입학 비율에 관한 규칙(대구광역시 교육규칙 제652호, 2014.01.01 공포)에 따라 총 68명까지 선발이 가능합니다. 자격 조건은 아래 정보를 참고하시거나 대구광역시청 국제통상과(053-803-4414)로 문의해 주시기 바랍니다.
