DIS teachers lead a variety of after school activities (ASAs) for students in grades 1-12. DIS also offers a Korean Studies program for students in grades 1-12 who want to obtain a Korean high school diploma and/or attend a Korean University. New ASAs are added quarterly so students have an opportunity to participate in a variety of athletic, educational, and artistic activities throughout the year.

DIS provides a boarding program to students in grades 5-12. The residence hall is equipped to hold up to 120 students. Most floors contain fifteen residential rooms, a staff room, study room, and a laundry area. Students enjoy the large lobby for watching television, a game room, kitchen, and a fitness center. The study rooms have computers and work stations. The residential area is guarded by a security service twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Parent-teacher conferences are held in the fall for every student. Conferences for new students and students with behavioral and/or academic difficulties are held as needed.

Daegu International School provides a school bus service for day students within the city of Daegu. There are 6 routes throughout the city.
